BEYONCE ATTENDS LIFE IS BUT A DREAM PREMIERE

Beyonce is a fairly private person, but on Tuesday, she opened up about her reasons for letting the world in via her new HBO documentary, “Beyonce: Life Is But A Dream.”
“Mystique is very important… It doesn’t matter if you’re a celebrity — just as a woman — I think it’s important. But, at the same time, I felt like it was time for me to share my story because I’ve been through so much and I have so much to celebrate, so much to share,” Beyonce told Access Hollywood’s Michelle Beadle on the red carpet at the film’s premiere in New York City on Tuesday night. “And, I’ve always directed these little movies and now I have directed a film for HBO and I’m so proud.”
Beyonce admitted she was “nervous” to see the film at the screening, a project she had only ever seen with Jay-Z and her mother, Tina Knowles.

She also called making the HBO film, which premieres this Saturday, “freeing.”
“There is something really powerful and liberating and freeing. I feel free,” Beyonce said. “I feel like I’ve been able to heal from a lot of things because of this film and editing this film. And I’ve learned so much about myself, having to watch hours of footage of my life and my mistakes and things I did right and it just really has been an incredible learning experience.”
The singer was still buzzing on Tuesday night from her Super Bowl halftime show earlier this month in New Orleans.
“I feel like it’s gonna take me a few more weeks to come back to earth because I tried to go into the recording studio, and I’m like, ‘What am I doing here? I need to just chill and kind of enjoy all of that crazy work I did,’” she laughed.
